MIRACLE BLANKET REDEFINING INFANT SLEEP PATTERNS; PEDIATRICIANS, NURSES, DOULAS AGREE
(September 22, 2003 Thousand Oaks, CA.)- Sleep deprivation doesn't have to be an inescapable part of a new parents life. The age-old practice of swaddling-- or snugly wrapping an infant in a blanket-- has been scientifically proven to calm fussy and colicky babies into a restful sleep.
Yet until now, frustrated parents have all but given up on swaddling due to the challenge of keeping their baby safely and securely wrapped for more than several minutes at a time. The Amazing Miracle Blanket has changed that as it simplifies wrapping with its unique design.
Michael Gatten, a father of three, designed the blanket out of pure frustration of his own in 2002. Originally created to simplify the swaddling process, Gatten says he had no idea what he'd come up with. "What we didn't expect was the incredible effect this design would have on colicky and fussy babies. It helps most of them sleep instantly and for extended periods."
The Miracle Blanket is also the first product to combine two of the most effective colic solutions, classic swaddling and the colic band-a lateral belly wrap.
"You have truly developed a product that improves on other old square swaddling blankets," says Dr. Harvey Karp, a leading infant calming expert and author of The Happiest Baby on the Block. "Swaddling is such an important tool for parents. You are going to help thousands of people."
By replicating many of the comforting sensations of the womb, which triggers the 'calming reflex', recent clinical studies prove that proper swaddling significantly reduces and often eliminates colic symptoms. Recent research also shows that babies that sleep on their backs have a lower occurrence of SIDS; however, some babies do not like to sleep on their backs. Through hundreds and hundreds of customer trials, encouraged by pediatricians, doulas, nurses and other professionals, the Miracle Blanket has proven successful in consistently helping babies sleep well in a safe position on their back.
In a half page editorial in the May 2003 issue of Good Houskeeping Magazine, the new blanket has earned a 'thumbs up' from the magazine Institute's textiles department. "The Amazing Miracle Blanket turns swaddling-which can be a challenge for sleep-deprived parents-into a cinch." The Miracle Blanket is also now highly recommended by pediatricians, OBGYN's, nurses, lactation consultants, and Doulas Of North America- which now sells the blanket direct to their clients.
"Our more experienced [Maternity Ward] nurses were very skeptical. But now [even] they are asking for more," says Graham Fewtrell, director of Women and Children Services at UCLA Medical center. "They insist we give them to every new parent."
The Jaydler Corp., parent company of AMB Enterprises, is a privately held corporation based in Thousand Oaks, California. Michael D. Gatten formed the company in early 2002 to produce and distribute the Amazing Miracle Blanket. Primary distribution is via the Internet, as well as through pediatric offices, maternity wards and through select childcare professionals throughout the United States and Europe. www.MiracleBlanket.com

THE AMAZING MIRACLE BLANKET TURNS SWADDLING INTO A CINCH FOR SLEEP DEPRIVED PARENTS!
(May, 2003 Good Housekeeping Magazine, New York, NY)
"Easier Swaddling: Fussy babies have been known to magically calm down when they're swaddled - that is, wrapped tightly in a blanket with a few strategic folding moves. Now a new blanket has earned a thumbs-up from the Good Housekeeping Institute's Textiles department. The Amazing Miracle Blanket turns swaddling - which can be a challenge for sleep deprived parents - into a cinch... it has no buttons, snaps, or Velcro, yet it won't unravel..."
