MIRACLE BLANKET EASES THE USUAL REALITIES OF PARENTHOOD ON REALITY TV
Talk about reality hitting home; TLC’s Bringing Home Baby goes behind closed doors capturing the first few incredible days of new parents’ lives as they face the unfamiliar challenges and joys of caring for a newborn. The 30-episode ultra-reality show, pretty much the network’s postpartum version of A Baby Story, premiers today. But these parents have been prepared for perhaps one of the most vexing problems of all: sleep deprivation.
Norsemen Television Productions, producers of Bringing Home Baby, gifted each couple with the Miracle Blanket®. “We felt Miracle Blanket was a quality product that was right for our show given its track record on TLC’s A Baby Story,” said Jeff Berk, Norseman Producer noting that they’d evaluated numerous other products. “We thought it was a nice gesture to give our parents.”
Perhaps more than just nice confirms Kay Willis, a Dallas, Texas-area RN, lactation consultant and parenting educator with no connection to the show.
“Many first-time parents head into parenthood with an optimism that quickly gives way to desperation because, one, they realize that babies don’t come with instruction manuals and two, they’re completely exhausted,” she explains. “The Miracle Blanket changes that entire experience; it’s truly revolutionized the age-old, cross cultural tradition of swaddling.”
Hundreds-of-thousands of pediatricians, RN’s, parenting educators and parents agree with Willis saying that the Miracle Blanket is the answer to getting some much needed rest with a newborn.
“The Miracle Blanket is a ‘miracle’ solution for a major issue [sleep deprivation] for new parents,” says Dr. Lori Storch Smith, a pediatrician in Westport, Connecticut that initially introduced the Miracle Blanket to TLC/Discovery Channel eventually landing it on several episodes of A Baby Story. “I highly recommend your product to all new parents that come through my office as I think every new parent needs to know your product is out there.”
Fans say the Miracle Blanket is aptly named because it triggers a peaceful serenity in a crying baby almost immediately. Not to be confused with a sleep sack or baby wrap, the Miracle Blanket's unique, patented design combines the subtle benefits of swaddling with additional distinctive features to recreate the comforting sensations experienced in the womb.
Because of the blanket’s simplicity and effectiveness, word is quickly spreading. American Baby Magazine calls it “a staff favorite.” The San Francisco Chronicle writes, “For newborns, an essential item is the Miracle Blanket, an oh so clever way to swaddle your baby to bliss.” After testing nearly all of them, ePregnancy Magazine declares, “…it’s the only thing that worked.” Countless others like Time Magazine, Good Housekeeping Magazine, regional parenting publications and newspapers, as well as eOpinion, iParenting, Salon.com, About.com and hundreds of other online reviews have given the Miracle Blanket a “thumbs up.”
Celebrities like Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams, EXTRA’s Dayna Devon and Seattle Mariners’ J.J. Putz are also singing the blanket’s praises.
