We bought the miracle blanket when our daughter was about 2 months old. She had outgrown the square blankets we used to swaddle her, and nothing else seemed to work. The swaddle blankets I bought at the store were too small. One night I swaddled her in the one big square blanket we had, and she woke up at midnight, crying. After having my first son,Max,I was beside myself. He was a very large baby and all receiving blankets were too small to swaddle him securely. Neither of us got more than a bit of sleep at a time. Max was constantly coming out of the swaddle and his little jerky movements woke him continuously. I was in a boutique and the owner had known I was pregnant and asked how our first week was going. I have been a nanny for over ten years now, and am one of the biggest believers in swaddling you'll ever meet. After ten years, I'm quite the swaddling expert. My son is two months old now and had already become a swaddle Houdini -- I, of all people, couldn't keep him in the swaddle! I first bought The Miracle Blanket in February of 2003 for my firstborn son. The website was not the great resource it is today and the word of mouth about this product was minimal. However, since I had an 8 week old super fussy child, the likes of which no one in my family had ever seen, I thought what could it hurt to try out one more item. This blanket made an incredibly difficult child into a manageable one. I had found my miracle product at last. And when my first born was old enough and the fussiness was behind us I packed the blanket away. When I became pregnant with my next child in 2006 I was told time and time again that I couldn't have two infants as fussy as fussy as the first. I looked forward to finally having the cuddly easy going infant that all my girlfriends had. What I got was a baby (that believe it or not) was even harder than my first born. He even hates his car seat and detests pacifiers - two things that always worked for my firstborn. I could not locate the Miracle Blanket I had packed away years ago and instead thought that maybe I could purchase a similar one from a retail store and get the same results. I was wrong. I tried out 4 different swaddling blankets but they were all either too small or my screaming powerful second born simply found ways to escape out of them. We bought the miracle blanket when our daughter was about 2 months old. She had outgrown the square blankets we used to swaddle her, and nothing else seemed to work. The swaddle blankets I bought at the store were too small. One night I swaddled her in the one big square blanket we had, and she woke up at midnight, crying. After having my first son,Max,I was beside myself. He was a very large baby and all receiving blankets were too small to swaddle him securely. Neither of us got more than a bit of sleep at a time. Max was constantly coming out of the swaddle and his little jerky movements woke him continuously. I was in a boutique and the owner had known I was pregnant and asked how our first week was going. I have been a nanny for over ten years now, and am one of the biggest believers in swaddling you'll ever meet. After ten years, I'm quite the swaddling expert. I first bought The Miracle Blanket in February of 2003 for my firstborn son. The website was not the great resource it is today and the word of mouth about this product was minimal. However, since I had an 8 week old super fussy child, the likes of which no one in my family had ever seen, I thought what could it hurt to try out one more item. This blanket made an incredibly difficult child into a manageable one. I had found my miracle product at last. And when my first born was old enough and the fussiness was behind us I packed the blanket away. When I became pregnant with my next child in 2006 I was told time and time again that I couldn't have two infants as fussy as fussy as the first. I looked forward to finally having the cuddly easy going infant that all my girlfriends had. What I got was a baby (that believe it or not) was even harder than my first born. He even hates his car seat and detests pacifiers - two things that always worked for my firstborn. I could not locate the Miracle Blanket I had packed away years ago and instead thought that maybe I could purchase a similar one from a retail store and get the same results. I was wrong. I tried out 4 different swaddling blankets but they were all either too small or my screaming powerful second born simply found ways to escape out of them. I have to admit that when my employer showed me how to wrap her son I wasn't sure that I could do that to a baby...it looked like he was in a straight jacket. It truly is a "Miracle Blanket", though, you've come up with the best things since sliced bread of the baby world!
